Ruhnu Cultural Space

The mission of Ruhnu Cultural Space is to value the living environment of Ruhnu Island, which among other things includes recording, creating and introducing the cultural heritage of the island that is famous for its former Ruska-speaking population and the unique seal hunting culture. Being the biggest volunteer organisation on the island, Ruhnu Cultural Space manages the local centre of culture, woodwork, ceramics and textile workshops and other establishments, and is generally in charge of the island’s cultural life and events.

Ruhnu Kultuuriruum is a non-profit organization that is included in the list of organizations with income tax benefits, we take part in several different local and international projects to capture, create, develop and present the cultural heritage of Ruhnu Island. As a platform, we enable spaces, technology, advice and funding to achieve goals with stakeholders working for a common goal.
